Moose Coffee
Breakfast, such a funny meal, to some it’s nothing more than a quick grab and go of toast or cereal. To others they take a more American approach, an actual meal, sitting down for something hearty for the day ahead. Ok, we all like a full english from time to time, but where can we go if we want to stray from the normal British breakfast lines? The Answer is Moose Coffee, an American themed cafe with two outlets, on Dale Street and in Crosby.
Moose covers quite a few bases, a version of the full English is available, but you can’t go far wrong with their pancakes, french toast or various forms of eggs. It’s no surprise that this place, particularly at weekends, is always busy for breakfast.
On my last visit we had eggs, eggs and more eggs between three of us, all served with toast for around about £6.95. Very nicely cooked food, not too much and pleasant surrounding. With a huge variety of breakfasts for all ranges of appetites, Moose Coffee is required stop for any lover of a good breakfast.

My favourite place in Liverpool for breakfast.
The pancakes with crispy bacon are amazing. It’s what we are lacking here in Liverpool a decent place to go and eat breakfast. Especially Sunday mornings where there is a definate lack of good quality establishments available. There are always plenty of ‘hand luggage pullers’ walking around after leaving our many hotels, looking for a decent brekkie to help with there hangovers. Especially up ‘this end’ i.e. what is known as the ‘business district’ where we live!! Our second choice is up the other end – hope street – which again, offers something other than just the ‘full fry up’. Keep up the reviews, love reading them!
Thanks for the nice comments.
I do like Leaf for breakfast and Lunya is pretty good also, but I do have to agree that the business district lacks decent breakfast places. Perhaps the workers in that end of town are more grab and go, there seems to be quite a few places like that around there.
oh doh, can’t believe I spelt ‘there’ wrong….THEIR….was too busy thinking about the pancakes
Moose is ace, the Eggs Benedict are my favourite, although I keep forgetting to ask for extra sauce. Delifonseca on Stanley street also does brekkie, not on Sundays though.
I live 2 minutes away from the Crosby branch, really enjoyable place. Stopped going though due to the wait for tables and food. I believe the kitchen is microscopic. I only ever have seem to have spare time when its absolutely bouncing.
The city centre branch gets pretty busy as well, especially on a weekend. It worth the wait though.
