EastZeast Again
Not long ago I wrote about EastZeast for Seven Streets, my findings were decent food, not inventive or original just well cooked Indian food. We don’t have anything really fantastic in Liverpool, and if I’m really honest we’ll never be a city that pushes the culinary boundaries. We are more often followers, something great will happen in London and it will slowly move up the country, with Liverpool getting our own version some time later. Continue reading
EastZeast Review
Last week I went for a curry at EastZeast, the latest addition to the curry scene in Liverpool. I had a good meal and on the whole was impressed by a restaurant that wasn’t original or creative, but did serve well made tasty food. My review is now up on www.sevenstreets.com
Vineet Bhatia Night at Manchester 235
Last night I made the short trip along the M62 for a meal hosted by Vineet Bhatia and his team. Vineet is one of only two indian chefs in the country with a michelin star, and has a reputation for top class indian food, a long way from the chicken tikka masala of your local curry house. At £45 per head for food, I was hoping the price would warrant some excellent cooking, unfortunately I left slightly disappointed. Continue reading
