Now I don’t feel qualified in any way to do a wine review. I like wine, in fact, I really like wine, and at a push, I think I can tell a good wine from a bad one, but that’s as far as it goes. I usually stick to the more expensive, the better, which is a rule of thumb that isn’t very good, as this previous post would suggest. So this morning, when Saturday Kitchen suggested a Cote Du Rhone from ASDA for £3.83, I felt obliged to pop round the corner to pick up a bottle. I’m not going to launch into a details array of tasting notes, as I wouldn’t be fooling anyone, even myself. However, I had a glass for lunch with a Croque Monsieur and salad, and it was lovely, I’ve just topped up for a second glass.
This wine is nice, and very cheep, go and buy some.
